    line.  Regardless the size and shape of your work space, which might be long and narrow; square but
    small or even L-shaped, ORA offers you support in arranging the floor plan of your new “factory” in
    accordance with your needs.  

    Each space has its own advantages and disadvantages, and you can never predict every challenge you
    will face during the initial set-up.  It is for this reason that ORA offers the valuable service of set-up
    assistance. Using photographs and measurements of your place, you will advise us of your situation,
    and we will recommend an arrangement of machinery and other equipment for the most useful and
    cost-effective production possible in the space you have chosen.

    B:  HEAVY MACHINES

    Selecting the correct machines for your space and your business intent is a task that is crucial and
    can be confusing.  In addition, industrial machines require care and maintenance to keep them
    running properly.  The technical support offered by the manufacturer of new machines is indeed a
    plus, but many times you will have the opportunity to save money by investing in high-quality used
    equipment.  Our expert is familiar with all such machinery – new and old – and is ready to assist you
    with advice – not only with the initial purchase, but also with any subsequent problems that may
    come up:

    -        Perhaps your machine is no longer in production
    -        The model is old and tech help is unavailable
    -        The parts you need are difficult to replace

    Your new machinery will never be intimidating, when an expert at ORA is ready to solve your

    We understand that the size, shape and aesthetic of every work space will vary.  Within the process of
    production, every artisan will need his hand tools, accessories and raw materials at the ready.  Given
    years and years of experience in every manner of studio, our experts will provide to our members,
    diagrams and plans for easy-to-build “production partners”  -  racks, rolls, drawers or hanging
    shelves (depending upon YOUR space) that will keep everything you need at your fingertips.  With
    dispensers for needed material, racks for necessary hand tools and a shelf / table for the critical
    application of glue, inefficiency is drastically reduced and you can concentrate on each production
    step-at-hand with well-organized proficiency.

    D: MANUFACTURE

    Here, ORA backs up each Boot-maker with those problems concerning the manufacturing process
    itself:

    -        The physical techniques of machine use and material-handling
    -        Mastering your production line

    3 – ORA CERTIFICATION

    ORA Certification is reached when Boot-maker’s sample, submitted to ORA, has undergone testing
    and is shown to meet the high construction standard recognized for durability, and quality of
    material and assembly.
    Style (personal) is never a consideration during the certification assessment.

    Upon graduation and certification, ORA will contact all potential resellers of your product in your
    geographic area to introduce your products, as well as to inform them that you are a Boot-maker,
    certified in your craft, and a Member of the New York Branch of ORA.

    Additional Benefit:  The name of Olivier Rabbath on any product is appreciated Internationally, for
    its quality and timeless style.  This recognition comes from his decades of work in Design, Boot-
    making and Fashion, in the United States and Europe.



    4 – SALES

    You, as a newly certified ORA Boot-maker, will also be introduced to your community with an
    announcement and articles submitted to local media.  
    Included will be suggested – and previously successful – sales techniques for:  
    -        Presentation of your samples.
    -        Packaging for shipping your collection
    -        How to purchase or build a compelling showcase, to promote your goods in stores. A clever
    display will catch the eye of a shopper, and draw them in from a department full of shoes, right to
    your unique boots.
    -         Creating a showcase in your home to proudly present your fine hand-crafted products for
    direct sales.

    5 – EQUIPMENT ACQUISITION

    ORA will have established a relationship with equipment suppliers.  
    They will be expecting your call and stand ready to help you purchase the machines best suited to
    your space and vision.

    You will complete a standard Credit Application and are assured the best prices.

    Take good care of your equipment and ORA will help you resell as you upgrade.

    6 – PRODUCTION NETWORK

    The advantages, of belonging to a National network of Artisans like you, are many. You may get an
    order that you cannot fill within the required time period.  Must you then decline the order?  
    Absolutely not!   With a network of Members, all ORA certified, you can pass the “overflow” portion
    of your order to others whose sales may be slower than yours, using an established fee system.  This
    means that you then become able to absorb any size order, without risk of:

    -        delivering late
    -        needing employees
    -        need for training
    -        wasting material  
    -        time lost
    -        disappointing a client.

    There is also no risk of an unacceptable product, because the network member you contact to help
    you fill that large order - being ORA Certified – will deliver to your client the highest quality of boot,
    using the same high-quality materials, techniques and pattern.  They will utilize the same
    components, so that your customer will not be able to discern a difference.
